How can I get my product?Current options include store pickup in Lenexa (KS) for free, delivery in the Lenexa/Kansas City area for a fee (dependent upon driving distance) and delivery in the Wichita (KS) area for a fee - Deliveries to Wichita will likely require longer delivery times.
-
No shipping? At the moment, I did not put it as an option on the website but if you find something you like just contact me and we can see what the estimated shipping fee would be based on distance, shipping duration but also most importantly size and weight of the products. In such cases, I can create a separate invoice for shipping.

I have an idea for a project I would like but I do not know how it would be done/if it is feasible/how much it would costThat is perfectly fine. Just reach out to me with as much information as you have (link to a product online, handmade drawing, dimensions, materials, etc.) then I will review it and give you a quote for this project along with a vision of how I see/understand it, just to make sure we are on the same page.

Are you hiring? At the moment, no but who knows what the future will hold. I do woodworking as a hobby on top of being a full-time husband, dad and engineer so if demand requires that I get external help then it is definitely an option. In such case, I would start by going through my inbox to see who all asked me about such opportunity so I would recommend that you send me an email (woodyoufancy@gmail.com) with your interest, experience (if any), etc.

How long does it usually take to get a product done?Every project is different and the start-to-end duration depends on the materials used (if I have to source some from non-local places), number of ongoing projects, type of finish, etc. Most projects should not take longer than 1 or 2 weeks on average. If you have a hard deadline on a project (for a birthday for instance) then please let me know and I will do my best to address it accordingly.
-
What kind of wood do you use? This will depend on the project and your preferences. For example, I have built 2 modern A-chairs for my wife and I. One is made from reclaimed wood from a deck while the other is store-bought pine made to look like cedar and that is pressure-treated. If something will be inside vs. outdoor, in contact with the ground or not, used as a cutting board, etc. then different woods can be used. If you have preferences as to what wood you want me to use for your project please let me know and I will recalculate the price of the project accordingly.

What is reclaimed wood?Reclaimed wood is wood that was previously used for a different application and is being upcycled. I get mine from various places.

What does unfinished mean?Unfinished corresponds to a product that was assembled but no layer of paint, stain or protection was added. I provide this option so that clients that want to finish the products themselves do not have to pay for something they do not need. The product is sanded though.
